WebEFX provides professional Hosting Services to our Design Clients only. By providing turn-key solutions to your Web needs, our designs are hosted on our own WebServers, robust Unix-based platforms physically located in North Carolina near our facilities. As a hosting client with WebEFX.net, your domain is based on a Server System with powerful OC-12/T3 Connectivity which ensures your site is always available and fast. Our customers benefit from Industrial strength infrastructure like dual OC-192 fiber optic connectivity (up to 622 MegaBytes per second each), multiple backbones from UUnet, AT&T, Sprint, and Cwix, dual OC-12 Lucent and Alcatel multiplexers which reside in our own facility, bay switches and Hubs, Cisco 7000 series routers and ultra-fast, multi-processor RAID servers. WebEFX.net boasts access to the largest Internet connection in the entire Sprint Mid-Atlantic region. We have two complete SONET rings for maximum redundancy, fault tolerance, and load balancing. Our servers are among the fastest in the industry. The 4000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art all fiber optic data center is super cooled and emergency-powered to guarantee maximum up time.

On occasion, existing WebSites can be transferred to our servers if we establish a maintenance agreement to service your site, and I, of course, can maintain your site even if you host elsewhere. Primarily, however, WebEFX caters to businesses who employ us for turn-key operations; design, develop, host and maintain.

Hosting is not the biggest single cost in the development process of a WebSite, but it is an on-going expense. Every month you will be paying an Internet Presence Provider ( or IPP - in this case WebEFX ) for their services of hosting your developed WebSite files onto their Internet Server, and providing a 'home' for your Domain. Typical 1-5 MB spaces given by ISP's for your dial-up account cannot be used for this purpose. You can, of course, provide your own server for this purpose, purchase the software required for it to act as a server, provide the communications lines to your computer so the world can access your files and continually update, upgrade and upload your files to keep it up and running. Unless you are a large corporation, or are very experienced in hosting your own WebSite, and have access to high-bandwidth communications lines, you will likely contract with an IPP to administer your site for you.

Costs per month are, again, dependant on the size of your site files, the likelihood of low or high activity on your site and the overall bandwidth your site consumes. The higher the number of graphics on your site and the more hits you get, the more "bandwidth" your site takes up on those communications lines. Your cost per month for hosting will be judged in advance by WebEFX.net and priced accordingly.

Generally, a small domain of up to 10 pages or so will cost $30.00 per month for hosting and up. Larger sites range from $35.00 to $70.00 per month. Some major sites, which include full services, maintenance contracts and training can cost upwards of $400 per month. Fees are charged Quarterly, with a nominal one-time set-up fee included in your domain name registration fee. If you do not use our services for registering your domain, a one-time set-up fee will apply to setup on our servers. You may obtain additional domains and "park" them with WebEFX.net to protect domains while not in use.

Hosting services for a company domain includes 5 e-mail addresses. Some hosting plans provide for unlimited e-mail addressing if discussed and quoted in advance. I can arrange for 'alias' email addresses which makes it look like you have several addresses, but in reality, all mail goes to one single address. I can also forward your email on request to another address, for example, while you are on vacation.

I can provide you with your own FTP directory, cgi-bin, password directories and secure server access. The Network Operations Center provides technical help 24 hours per day.
