Due to the seasonal nature of our operation, we cannot offer such benefits as paid sick time, paid medical insurance or paid holiday time. One valuable benefit the medical service provides is housing and meals at no charge to the employees. The majority of the staff reside at Lake dormitory, which provides basic but comfortable lodging. Meals are served in the hospital cafeteria. Since housing is limited, we are unable to provide housing for families and spouses. In the past, most employees have worked 10 to 12 hour shifts, which has allowed them additional time to enjoy the many recreational activities available in Yellowstone.
